How we count

We distinguish between the activities we have carried out, their results and the changes they have brought about. We only publish a figure when we know where it comes from and what period it covers; we prefer a few reliable figures to automatic counters.

When a figure is an estimate, such as attendance at an open-air festival, we say so. Activities are counted from our archive; surveys from the response files, which remain anonymous. The indicators are updated every year.

Listening before designing

Through our surveys we gathered the views of young people and adults in the Alto Belice Corleonese on work, our area, participation and wellbeing. Some results:

  • 69%name jobs and careers among their everyday challenges (Voice Action)
  • 82%rate how well local decision-makers represent them at 5 or less out of 10 (Voice Action)

The context we work in

According to ISTAT data, Marineo and the surrounding towns are losing inhabitants and getting older. That is why we work to make staying, leaving and coming back real choices.

  • 6,025people living in Marineo on 31 December 2024
  • −13%fewer residents than in 2001 (there were 6,950)
  • 183people over 65 for every 100 children under 15 (2024)

Behind every figure, a project

Our project pages explain why each project started and what we did. The activity archive lists every workshop, meeting and event since 2024.
